Candidate: Create a new CV template

The DiverseTalent app has a wide range of beautiful CV templates to use, but sometimes you need to make custom changes or have your own template that you use regularly.
We love openness at DiverseTalent, so we allow you to upload and use your very own templates.
To create your own reusable template requires you to add placeholders to a Word document to the places that you want your details to appear.
An example of how to modify a Word document to be used as a template can be found below.

1. Search for a suitable CV template online e.g. https://create.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/resumes. Or download one of our existing themes from our template library. 


2. Open the template and the sample template 
3. Edit the template by substituting the existing details with the relevant items from the template.
The CV generator uses the DOCX templater to generate the documents.
The specific syntax for the template values uses the angular parser.
The profile data that is used in the generator follows the JSONResume schema.


4. Use the new CV template in the 'Custom Template' tab.
